The University of Wollongong (UOW) is one of Australia’s premier university and has been rated as one of the top 2% of universities in the world. UOW’s main campus lies at the foothills of Mt Keira between a rainforest escarpment and the Pacific Ocean. Respecting the natural environment was integral to the award-winning campus design, with native gardens and streams abounding in birdlife. UOW hosts a community of students from around Australia and 70 other countries with strong links to industry and business. It is very important that signage be clear and easily understood, but still fit in with it’s surrounds.
The Brief
FM Scanu Electronics has been contracted to consult and install various kiosks and hardware enclosures within the university of Wollongong campus. The kiosks provide student documentary videos & slides, uow news & updates, various course showcases and bulletin boards.
The Outcome
FMSE has also deployed various enclosed screens within the campus for the purpose of digital signage, parking spot sensors
